CPM (Cost Per Mille)
Payment per thousand ad impressions — a media-buying metric that appears in iGaming through display sponsorships and tenancy pricing.
CPM prices exposure rather than outcomes: the advertiser pays per thousand impressions regardless of clicks or deposits. Pure CPM is rare in affiliate agreements but common in the display campaigns affiliates run, and it underlies flat-fee placement pricing.
Why performance teams still track it
Even in a CPA program, effective CPM (eCPM) is how sophisticated affiliates compare monetization across placements — and how operators sanity-check what a tenancy placement on a big portal is really worth. Knowing the traffic’s eCPM math tells you exactly how far a partner can move on deal terms before the placement stops making sense for them.
