Gaming Tax / License Fees

The state's cut of regulated gambling: application and annual license fees plus ongoing tax on stakes, GGR or NGR.

Regulated markets charge for access — license fees at entry and renewals, plus gaming tax commonly levied on GGR at rates from ~15% to 50%+ depending on jurisdiction and product.

Downstream to affiliates

Tax structure shapes deal economics: where tax applies to GGR before bonus costs, high-bonus acquisition strategies get expensive, and NGR definitions in affiliate agreements often deduct gaming tax — meaning the same revshare percentage pays differently across markets. Affiliates comparing GEO opportunities and operators structuring market entries are both, ultimately, reading tax tables.
