Positive Carryover

Unpaid commission balances below the payout threshold rolling forward to the next period rather than expiring.

Positive carryover means small unpaid balances accumulate: earn €40 against a €100 payout threshold and the €40 waits, joined by next month’s earnings until the threshold clears.

Why it matters more than it looks

Programs that expire sub-threshold balances (rare, but they exist) are running a small-print confiscation scheme, and affiliate communities name and shame them. Even honest thresholds shape behavior: high thresholds plus slow cycles push small affiliates — tomorrow’s big ones — toward competitors that pay from the first euro. Payout friction is program-selection criteria, not accounting trivia.
