Void Bet

A cancelled bet with stakes returned — triggered by abandonments, non-runners, rule-defined circumstances, or errors.

Voiding unwinds a bet as if never placed: postponed fixtures, non-starting selections, market-rule triggers, and (contentiously) operator pricing errors.

The friction cases

Multi-leg tickets recalculate around voided legs (parlay odds shrink). The disputes cluster on discretionary voids — palpable-error clauses claiming obvious mispricing after winners land, and gray-market books voiding “irregular play” as a stalling tactic. ADR bodies and regulators read the rules narrowly against operators in licensed markets; the honest error-void has defined criteria and symmetric application (voiding losers too), which is precisely what to check in terms reviews.
