FX / Currency Conversion Fees

The spread and fees on currency conversion across deposits, settlements and payouts — a quiet percentage leak at every boundary.

FX costs hide in gambling’s many currency boundaries: player currency versus account currency, settlement currency versus treasury, commission currency versus affiliate bank.

Making the invisible visible

Spreads of 1–3% at each conversion compound across the flow — a multi-currency operation can leak more to FX than to processing fees while no line item says so. Controls: currency-matched processing where volume justifies, treasury netting across entities, payout-currency choice for affiliates (partners notice forced conversions at bad rates), and settlement-file audits that extract effective rates. Finance teams that measure FX leakage invariably renegotiate something within the quarter.
