Payment Reconciliation

Matching platform transactions against processor settlements and bank movements — where payment truth is established.

Reconciliation ties three ledgers together: what the platform recorded, what processors settled, what the bank received — surfacing fee drift, missing batches, duplicate credits and FX spreads.

Why gambling reconciliation is hard and vital

Volume (millions of micro-transactions), provider sprawl (each PSP its own file format and timing), and adjustment noise (chargebacks, reserves, refunds) make manual reconciliation collapse early; automation with exception queues is the standard. Unreconciled payment stacks hide real losses — the audit findings that start “we discovered fees had increased in March” are reconciliation gaps wearing their cost. Affiliate-side mirror: commission statements versus payments received deserve the same match discipline.
