Payout Threshold

The minimum accumulated commission balance required before the program issues payment.

Payout thresholds (commonly €50–€500) batch small balances into economical payments — a legitimate response to fixed per-payment banking costs.

Threshold as strategy signal

Low thresholds and multiple payment rails say “we want long-tail affiliates”; high thresholds say the program only values large partners. Neither is wrong, but the choice should be deliberate: the long tail of small content affiliates compounds — today’s €30/month blogger is occasionally next year’s category-leading site, and they remember which programs paid them when they were small.
